We are set only a short distance from the busy, historic market town of Rhayader named after ‘Rhayadr Gwy’ a Welsh name for a local waterfall on the Wye. Known as the one of oldest towns in mid Wales.
Surrounded by the Elan Valley and Cambrian Mountains where you can explore the dams, reservoirs and exquisite nature reserves. With an abundance of things to do including, cycling, fishing, mountain biking, horse riding and more.
Our hotel has been fully refurbished to the highest standards. Each of our rooms provides a personalised boutique experience. With both bed and breakfast and also self-catering to choose from.

The Elan Valley is a must visit destination for a wide range of different groups and clubs. Classic cars or motorcycles, mountain biking, nature, wildlife or dark skies. We provide the perfect place for groups of like-minded individuals to get together and enjoy each other’s company. You can even private hire the hotel to yourselves. Our hotel is the perfect venue for your business meetings and team events. If you need to stay connected, we provide high speed internet access. Make the most of your time and maximise your team building efforts with a combined meeting and overnight stay.
Location
Elan Valley Hotel is in the perfect location to access all the many attractions in this area of outstanding beauty. The Elan Valley, dams, reservoirs, the town of Rhayader and much more.
We are a three-minute drive from one of the six amazing dams and the Elan Valley Visitor Centre. At the visitor centre you can explore the local history, hire bikes, get fishing permits or just stop for a drink and a bite to eat in the café.
There is a cycle path (route 81) running parallel to the road that is also accessible from directly opposite the hotel.
Parking
The hotel has plenty of parking that is monitored by CCTV for your piece of mind. Secure lock-up is also available for bikes.

As well as enjoying our Welsh cooked breakfast in our conservatory room you can now enjoy an evening meal in our bespoke residents/non residents basserie or at our large dining table. All our food is home cooked in our newly refurbished kitchen. Made from the finest quality, locally sourced ingredients.
